A warning. The Jews abused this doctrine of the faithfulness of God to His promises. Also Christians can do that, to promise themselves eternal security, while they only profess faith.
Gospel of salvation. The source of the Gospel is God - God revealed it; Paul preached it with faithfulness and courage; the Corinthians received the Gospel and continued in it.
Great Sermon! Thank you for taking the time to produce this video. This was very well done from start to finish. My heart has been greatly stirred in witnessing the outpouring of the love of Christ by these missionaries. Rest assured that my prayers will ascend on behalf of the work there for these prescious souls in Kenya. May God continue to be glorified in this mighty work He has begun.
Near, but out. A message on comfort - the scribe is not far from the Kingdom. But also a message of warning - he is not in the Kingdom. And can be a message of condemnation, if he remains not far, so out, of the Kingdom.
God sees our hearts. God knows our hearts, beyond our external acts and words. We must remember that our words and acts influence others who see us. And that our acts and words will be rewarded justly by God in the last day.
What we know. There are things that God revealed not to us: this will humble us. But we must turn to the revealed word of God, which is sufficient for our life. And we must keep this Word to allow nobody and nothing to take it from us, His people!
Walking with God. We do not put our trust in the Lord because we do not know Him well. We have not only to know about Him, but to live and walk with Him.
All things in Christ. Christ our sufficiency: He is our sacrificial lamb; He is our soul saving redeemer; He is our satisfying portion; He is our sanctifying deliverer.
Great comfort in this message. The tears of God's people are real, but also are temporary, as temporary are the things that caused them. There is hope for the people of God: God will reward our work for Him; those who wander shall return; our eternity will be all what God promised for us. Great comfort in this message!
God is still sovereign. Helpful message, I really needed it. It helped me to see this problem in other perspective, to rise my eyes and my thoughts to God. We must treasure our Savior and His blessings and live for that. Yes, this crises is an opportunity to declare to people that man's hope is in God. We must pray for revival. Thank you for this message!
Great Sermon! What sound biblical education! your sermons never cease to amaze me and renew my heart. I stick to Pastors who preach and teach from the KJV. GOD'S Blessings to you Dr. Barrett. ct
Great Sermon! GOD bless you my USA Pastor Dr. Barrett for making my heart stronger in facing up to the realities of a very sure thing. I am not too keen on it, vs 3,15 comforts my soul. Thank you. ct.
Our God is in control. Great encouragement for me: the systems of the world, which provoke us, they are without power, not our God. God is unchangeable and He does what He wants, He controls everything. We need to go to Him in prayer, so that He may bless us with the power of His presence, because the world and Satan is not impressed by our intellectual arguments.
For the first time. I saw for the first time a baptismal service at the FPC. It was interesting. As a Baptist, I agree with believers baptism and immersion. I was glad to see this here.
The joy of the Lord crowning us. Joy depends on redemption; the joy of the redeemed gladdens them on their journey to Zion; joy will crown the redeemed of the Lord forever.
Serious warning. The things of God are of supreme importance. But many count them unimportant. There will come one day when they see them real and important, but it will be too late.
