Good explanation. Discussion of church discipline, from verses 3-5. Public discipline, as different case than that in Matthew 18:15-20. Delivering unto Satan as excommunication for the destroying of sinful desires, not as delivering unto death.
What a serious matter! The mentality and acts of profane persons exposed; the perdition of profane persons; the peril of profane persons remaining undetected.
An Intelligent Sermon Excellent sermon. What we need today is to expound scripture according to the fundamentals of the faith so that The Faith maybe sustained in the minds of the hearers. So much is spoken on scripture but very little attached to the doctrine of the Church. By the way when it comes to the Image of the Beast this is put in contrast to the Image of God. Who is the Image of the Beast is it not The Pope? the beast being the Devil, one of the names of the Devil.
Great encouragement. The idea of a clean walk; the idea of a sure walk; and the idea of an exalted walk (walking in the high places of doctrine, of spiritual experience, of useful service and of expectations of future glory).
How to pray. The basis of our prayers must be the Word of God and the gifts of His covenant. We must not live on past experiences, but in a living and continuous communion with the Lord.
A warning. The Jews abused this doctrine of the faithfulness of God to His promises. Also Christians can do that, to promise themselves eternal security, while they only profess faith.
Gospel of salvation. The source of the Gospel is God - God revealed it; Paul preached it with faithfulness and courage; the Corinthians received the Gospel and continued in it.
Great Sermon! Thank you for taking the time to produce this video. This was very well done from start to finish. My heart has been greatly stirred in witnessing the outpouring of the love of Christ by these missionaries. Rest assured that my prayers will ascend on behalf of the work there for these prescious souls in Kenya. May God continue to be glorified in this mighty work He has begun.
Near, but out. A message on comfort - the scribe is not far from the Kingdom. But also a message of warning - he is not in the Kingdom. And can be a message of condemnation, if he remains not far, so out, of the Kingdom.
God sees our hearts. God knows our hearts, beyond our external acts and words. We must remember that our words and acts influence others who see us. And that our acts and words will be rewarded justly by God in the last day.
What we know. There are things that God revealed not to us: this will humble us. But we must turn to the revealed word of God, which is sufficient for our life. And we must keep this Word to allow nobody and nothing to take it from us, His people!
Walking with God. We do not put our trust in the Lord because we do not know Him well. We have not only to know about Him, but to live and walk with Him.
All things in Christ. Christ our sufficiency: He is our sacrificial lamb; He is our soul saving redeemer; He is our satisfying portion; He is our sanctifying deliverer.
