Great Sermon! Absolutely thrilling sermon. The truth conveyed here is enough to make you want to shout and cry tears of joy. What a great God, what a great salvation. This is a must hear.
Great God, great grace! A message that brought me in prayer before God. Excellent message! We have a great God; God is the source of grace; it's a seasonable grace. Very encouraging!
The need for God's intervention. The need for victory, the source of victory, the instruments of victory, the time of victory, with a warning about the absentees from the victory.
Gratitude and ingratitude toward God. Great message about gratitude and ingratitude toward God. Sobering thoughts. Three points: a pervasive sin; a poisonous seed; a prodigious shame.
Great man of prayer and of mission. Decatholicizing Patrick. His life and ministry presented in the light of the documents preserved, in opposition of the lies Catholics invented about him.
Great truths. A message on Romans 1:24-32. Sin of those that reject God. Sentence upon those who reject God. Stubbornness of those who reject God. Very profound message!
Exalting Christ! Great message about the sufficiency and excellency of Christ as a Saviour. Great lesson about Christ the Redeemer from Exodus 17:1-7. Christ has saving grace for perishing souls; Christ has sustaining grace for weary pilgrims; Christ has satisfying grace for praying saints.
What are we praying for? Actually, the text of this sermon is Matthew6:10b, with a short reference to the text in Hebrews. It is a description of the phrase from Matthew: we are praying for 1) a personal obedience; 2)practical obedience; 3)perfect obedience; 4)progressive (perpetual) obedience.
False pastors. A survey of the character of some popes during the Middle Ages to the Reformation time, showing that their life was as of those "pastors" condemned by God in Ezekiel 34. Mentioned: Gregory VII, Innocent III, Innocent IV, Alexander VI, Julius II, Leo x. God rose up for Him faithful pastors with the Reformation.
Great Christ. Three glorious affirmations about Christ. A message whose starting point is in a remark Willy Mullan made in a sermon, as Alan Cairns said.
Great downward spiral. God's revelation of Himself and of His truth in creation (v. 19-20) and man's reaction to this revelation (v. 21-23).Man's rejection of God's revelation.
Fantastic Sermon! What a wonderful, wonderful reminder of our need to put things in the proper Biblical perspective! How true: "We doubt a sea of mercy over one drop of adversity."
What a blessing this sermon is, a help to calm the troubled soul of the believer in Christ!
Great Sermon! Thank you!
Later read daily devotional and it followed hearing the sermon 'The Lord Thinketh upon Me'. The devotional reading for today was the same scripture and included reference to God's thoughts of peace:' He thinketh upon us, to supply our need, protect from foes, lead
us in His ways, and make us meet for His kingdom and glory. His
thoughts are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us an
expected end. He thinketh upon us by day and by night, when at
home or abroad; and He thinks of us with love as His children;
with pleasure as His friends; with a purpose to bless us, as His
dependant.'
The blessing of being, by God's rich grace, His child. O' the love of the Saviour!
Passion for the Word of God. The need for the Bible in the common language; the Catholic opposition to this; the spread of the Bible in the common language; the blessing of this Bible; the battle for the Bible in the next centuries.
Great Sermon! Dr. Barrett, What a blessed and compassionate sermon on grace, brings me to tears, taming and humbling, leaves me choked up, speechless and performs heart surgery. Every word gripps my attention, my whole being becomes limp due to this compassionate delivery on GOD's grace to a sinful people. The Shekinah Glory is truly hovering over your work for our HOLY GOD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. GOD has extremely blessed you and your teachings of His HOLY WORD. GOD loves you and so do I. You are truly GOD's chosen.
Thank you, Cindy Toolsie.
Great contrast. Excellent, clear explanation of what it means to be in Adam and in Christ. Three points: a great contrast (being in Adam or in Christ); great consequences (hell or heaven); a great choice (to remain in Adam or to turn to God).
Awful choise. The world chose Barabbas; this choice implies a great crime; this crime implies a great price to pay! Rejecting Christ because loving the Barabbases of the world...
Priceless blessing. The beauty, excellency and preciousness of unity in God's people. Starting on the top, from the leaders. Happy the church that experiences that!
Great lesson. The victories we enjoy are from God. And God gives us victory not for our righteousness, but for other reasons, explained in the text. So there is no place for pride.
