Great danger! The fatal error of believing that you are under blessing, when you are under God;s curse; the fatal error of imagining that you will have peace even if you are living in sin and you are a rebel against God; the fatal error of adding drunkenness to thirst, of trying to satisfy your needs with wrong things.
Great God. Great message on Exodus 19:9-20. On Sinai, God reveals to us vital things about Himself, about ourselves, about God's Law, about God's grace. At the same time, Sinai is a preview of the Day of Judgment.
God's guidance. A message about God leading His people to the final destination. The obstacles cannot stop us, because God will be with us. When God leads us in strange ways, not those we expect, we must remind ourselves that He is the guide, He chooses the way, the knows the way - that this is for our good - and an opportunity for Him to reveal His power to us.
Great wrath. This message is also only on verse 18: the revelation of the wrath of God in Scripture and history. God reveals His wrath against all ungodliness, not only against "great" sins.
God's revulsion against sin. The wrath of God is not only the abandonment of the world to it's sin, but it is an action taken by God. God has a necessary revulsion in His nature against sin and this makes Him ti punish sin. God is holy.
Compromise, tolerance, and Christians I was intrigued by the title of this sermon and listened to it. Thought-provoking look at the three Hebrews and how they believed the word of God when it went against everything in the culture around them, and how God delivered them; and how this applies today.
Very necessary sermon in these turbulent days. Great to hear a strong fundamentalist evangelical sermon on the dangers of succumbing to the world's interests and activities. We are called to be in the world, but not of it, which isn't always easy especially in these days of technological advances which increasingly encroach on our time and attention. Aaron raises not only the issue of idolatry and how to recognise it, but also on many other important aspects of our walk with him in a world determined to draw us away. It is surely a time to put our armour on and buckle it securely as can only be done by soaking ourselves in scripture and giving God His fullest place in our lives. Heavily recommended.
PS - Aaron is a great "export" from our part of the world - a Province with more churches per sq mile than any other part of the UK!! :)).
Life changing sermon! Do you seek to renew your vision of God's purpose in your life? Would you then ache to put feet to that vision? Listen to this exciting, intense exposition from Haggai by Dr. Barrett to learn not only more about the time and message of Haggai, but much more about God and yourself and what He expects of you and me. Listen and experience God's presence now; then let us walk circumspectly throughout each day in our renewed vision and love and fear of God in Christ Jesus.
Message for mourners. A message preached when there were two deaths in the church. People are mourners, but must be also inquirers and covenanters.
MUST HEAR for this Is the battle Listen through the history to the main sermon, and be encourged to hang on to the Gospel of Repentance AND Faith. Are you alone?
So was Paul. Stop Griping . the more spritual strength, the more attacks.
Great sin. The sin of the church of Ephesus was a willful one: she has LEFT her first love. It was a time when she choose to love other things and not Christ.
Trusting in God. The fact that God saved us is an encouragement to pray for others, because God can save them also. The fact that God worked in us is an encouragement to pray for others, because God can do the same thing in their lives.
Great creating power. Light at creation, spiritual light at regeneration, the light as restoration for times of darkness in believers and light at the consummation.
Exploring the unity of Romans. A presentation of Romans chapter by chapter, explaining the Gospel of God: the need of a humanity who is under the wrath of God, the perfect righteousness of Christ imputed to God's people. Justification that leads to sanctification. Not only on Romans 3:9-31.
