“ Great liberty. ”
A message about the liberty which God's people have in Christ: a liberty from the obligativity of realising a self-righteousness by good deeds and merits and a liberty from being enlaved to human teachings and speculation. The Reformers reaffirmed that liberty, preaching the Gospel of grace, and we have to maintain this message and this liberty.

“ Biblical. ”
Very good presentation of the Biblical view on sin and salvation, with excerpts from WCF. Very good the observation that the Reformers gave God the place which is His and saw man in the light of Scripture, not minimizing his sinful condition. To this condition the only answer was God's salvation in His grace, in the sacrifice of His Son.

“ Excellent! ”
Excellent, rich material, refuting the Catholic errors regarding another authority beside or above the Bible, for faith and practice. Catholics cannot argue from the Scriptures their errors, and because of that they work hardly to argue them on the basis of human tradition.

“ Great thankfulness. ”
What I write now has not for a meritorious nature for me. It is just a thankful reminder of what God gave me as spiritual food over the years through this preacher. This message was the 400th I listened to by Alan Cairns, from 2007 to today. I thank God for all what He taught and inspired me through His servant!

“ Great study. ”
Presentation of the political and religious backgroung of Europe of those times, of the religious scene in England and Scotland, of the Arminian-Reformed controversy, and a presentation of some of the thrologians present at the Assembly. The Assembly put forth the theological basis for an evangelical religion and for a social and religious liberty.

“ Power of salvation. ”
Blessed sermon! We are all sinners and there is only one Gospel, one way of salvation for all. Very good the explanation of what it means to fall short of the glory of God. And the Gospel in efficacious for all who believe in the Lord Jesus.

“ Great difference. ”
Very clear presentation of the teaching of these verses, which reveal that the Gospel Paul preached differs from the "Gospel" many preachers preach today. Very clear and biblical explanation of what the righteousness of God means and what it means to be saved by faith in Christ.

“ Great remedy for sin. ”
In Christ's sacrifice there is the remedy of God for our sins, and there is the Great Physician, who can apply this remedy, but the tragedy is that many people refuses the remedy. A very sobering message.

“ ecclesia ”
Matt 18 delegates responsibility to ecclesia. Does that not mean whole of ecclesia - every one in ecclesia - each learning and practicing rightous judgement (one of the weightier matters of law)? Why do we confer it on eldership alone?

“ Serious message. ”
Serious and powerful evangelistic sermon. A serious look to sin which banns people from heaven and to salvation. Those whose names are written in the Book of the Lamb are called, regenerated, justified, and will persevere in holiness unto the end.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I wish to clarify whether the artist mentioned by Pastor Colin Mercer is, as a matter of fact, "Rev" Jane Clarke from Metropolitan Community Church in Glasgow. "Pastor" Clarke strongly advocates homosexuality from her pulpit (http://www.mccinglasgow.moonfruit.com/#/resources/4544196965). During the exhibition, she invited people to comment on an open Bible with the following words: "If you feel you have been excluded from the Bible, please write your way back into it." In other words, "please write that it is OK to be a practising gay Christian, please write that Christians who claim that homosexuality is a sin are bigots, judgemental and know nothing about God's love". This is a clear marketing strategy aimed at promoting gay rights. Ms Clarke knew exactly what she was doing. Pastor Colin, is this the woman you mentioned at the beginning of your message?
