Dispensationalism Refuted #1
Dr. Michael Barrett

“ more like, 'Dispensationalism Defended' ”
Matt: 8:29 the demons asked, are you come to torment us before the time? Mk. 1:15 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of god is at hand... Mk. 10:30 But he shall receive an hundred fold now in this time,... and in the aiwnios/world to come eternal life. Lk. 12:56 ...how is it that ye cannot discern this time? Lk. 19:44 ...because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. Ro. 5:6 ...in due time Christ died for the ungodly 1 Cor. 4:5 ... judge nothing before the time... 2 Cor. 6:2 ...I have heard thee in the time accepted...now is the accepted time...now is the day of salvation. Gal. 4:4 But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son... 2Pet.1:21 propoesy came not in old time by the will of man... The scripture is full of references to times/days/ages. God has done different things to accomplish stages in His plan. Dispensationalism is not the horse or the cart; it is the shelving that sorts and organizes. It is very true that some promises, warnings, and prophesys (Thank the LORD), ie. the tribulation, the rapture, the Kingdom, the seats around the throne, the 144K, do not apply to all, and we do need to rightly divide the word of truth. Thank the Lord for the ability to discern truth. Dispensationalism is a biblical, doctrinal reality.

“ Separation from Rome ”
I marvel at men of God such as Dr. Alan Cairns who are not afraid of the Vatican. Most Christians Leaders today, many because of their high profile status, and many others because their hope is to become a high profile Evangelist, will not dare make mention of the blatant errancy of Roman Catholic dogma. They do not, and will not teach against these false teachings as they should. Instead, they actively court her (the Roman/Catholic Church), and at the very least, smile graciously and sheepishly while tolerating her and allowing her to slip 30 pieces of silver into their pockets. The Roman Catholic religion is insidiously slipping into all sectors of Christianity. Years ago, I separated myself from a Florida radio station because I came to realize that I was listening to daily broadcasts of the Catholic Mass. I loathed the very sound of it. I'm sure neither the Pope, nor other Catholics can stomach the other contemporary Christian music that plays on this station (a station which the Vatican probably owns), but she knows that 100's of 1000's of Christians can, unwittingly, quote the Rosary word-for-word. Christians are becoming quietly and progressively indoctrinated. We must pray for all Spiritual Leaders, and thank God for the Dr. Cairsn' he has raised up here and there.

“ Fantastic Message! ”
I had the great privilege of having Dr. Wisdom as one of my professors while I was a student at BJU. This message is truly a needful lesson for the body of Christ in this present, evil age. This is a "must-hear" sermon!

“ Great Sermon! ”
A sermon well worth listening to. I enjoy Dr. Barret's intelligent and articulate communication style. Every sentence is crisp and clear and of the same approximate volume so that he never goes from a faint whisper to 10,000 decibels within a short space of time. His sermons are more like a good lecture but very powerful and anointed nevertheless.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I listened to Dr. Barrett's sermon. I agree that this is a system of theology thrust on Christianity in the early 1900s, adopted by fundamentalists, but that not all fundamentalists subscribe to it. I certainly don't. I'm aware of C.I. Scofield's "resume," and I wouldn't touch his Scofield Bible. He was a forger, deserted his wife and three little daughters, sent them a forged deed and mortgage to nonexistant land, bilked his own mother-in-law of her life savings, never supported his family with one penny of money even though he was raking in money off his Scofield Bibles. He claimed nonexistant theological degrees, pastored big churches after his conversion in jail by a bunch of lady missionaries, married one of them. Hooked up with DL Moody and wrote all his notes using Darby's stuff and didn't give one bit of credit -- also used the work of another man named, no credit given there either. Used prominent theologians to edit subsequent editions and gain more respectability. People use his Bible, read the footnotes and believe them as though they were scripture. Darby got most of his ideas from the Irvingites and a young teenage girl named Margaret McDonald. Because of Scofield, people only read Paul's epistles, think Gospels should be avoided, and are ignorant of OT.

Christ, Our Great High Priest
Dr. Allan P. Brown

“ A Tremendous Encouragement! ”
Can God really help us? Can God really help mothers to maintain sweetness in all the demands of home responsibilities? YES! He holds everything together by the Word of His Power, and it is no problem for Him to help us in our need. HE HAS ALL THE POWER TO ENABLE US TO LIVE CHRISTLIKE, FAITHFUL, AND TRIUMPHANT LIVES IN OUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES. Christ has purged our sins and totally defeated the enemy. He gives us power to live moment by moment in His will. What is your problem that is beyond the help of such a triumphant High Priest??

“ Great Sermon! ”
For the last couple of weeks I've been working on a sermon on "Taste and See that the Lord is good". When I heard your sermon I was in awe. I thought, "Here is a man who lives in the presence of God!" Thanks for seeking God in private so you can radiate His love and truth in public. Your message created within me a desire to know Christ better and taste him in a deeper way.

“ Very Powerful Sermon! ”
Thank you Dr. Cairns. This sermon is very powerful, encouraging, comforting and challenging for anyone who is struggling with the doctrine of eternal security and in their standing with God once they have been declared righteous by the righteousness of Christ.

“ Powerful Message Indeed! ”
Listen to this sermon and you WILL “rediscover the old gospel message that moved the world in the days of the apostles and in the days of the Protestant Reformation.” It is the gospel of God that concerns His Son, Jesus. In particular, I believe all who profess to be Christian should listen to this message, for they will have one of two reactions: "Yes, I know that, thank God!" or they will say, "I never knew that! Thank God!"

All believers must here this sermon! As sinners , it is very easy for us to rationalize ourselves out of this vitally important principle; especially in a me first, self centered, get rich quick, self oriented society. More sermons like this need be preached.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I would encourage listeners to hear this sermon--there's so much deep spritual truth contained therein that my words cannot do justice to it. You'll have to listen for yourself to see why Dr. Cairns has become one my favorite preachers. You will be blessed by the Christ-centered preaching and be motivated to, indeed, memorize the book of Romans. Thank you Dr. Cairns!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Truly a good sermon. Dr. Cairns has some insight into the value of nationalism and sovereignty (in lieu of Babel) that obviously is borne of his heritage and not as common in the U.S. Aside from his "Watch the Jews" statement (most modern Jews demonstrably cannot trace their ancestry to Jacob) and his profession that modern occupied Palestine ("Israel") is in place as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy, Dr. Cairns hits every nail square on its head.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is a wonderful sermon for a Christian who is struggling with the trials of the Christian faith. It is encouraging and uplifting. The Pastor reminds us that God is for us in the midst of problems and sadness, as well as sorrow and pain. He who spared not his own Son, but delivered him for us all (Christian), how shall he not with him freely give us all things. God spared the best for us. What would he withhold? Wonderfully beautiful sermon! Thank you.
