Obituary for Henry Mahan

Henry Thomas Mahan, former pastor of 13^th Street Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Friday morning, May 31^st, 2019. He was 92 years old.

Born August 19^th, 1926 in Fairfield, Alabama, to John Cary Mahan & Atha Aileen Jones (both deceased).

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Cary Mahan, a sister, Martha Mahan Jones Knox, a son, Robert Cary Mahan, a daughter, Rebecca Mahan Coffey, and a grandson, Robert Cary Mahan.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Doris Freeze Mahan, two sons, Daniel Mark Mahan & Paul Edward Mahan (spouse, Malinda); 7 grandchildren, Cade Mahan, Colleen Mahan, Case Mahan, Kerry Coffey Simpson (Adam), Henry Luke Coffey (Tracy), Brandon Coffey (Meagan), Hannah Mahan Stalnaker (Gabriel); 14 great grandchildren and several dear nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be held at John Steen Funeral Home, Ashland; Monday, June 3^rd, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation before service, from 9:30 – 10:45.

Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park.
