Great salvation. Blessed message about God's great grace in saving sinners. A biblical description of man in sin and a presentation of God's salvation in Christ.
From the Heart In a few days, as part of a ministerial licensing service, our Lord will allow me the opportunity to present an ordination charge to my son.
Like you, as a Southern Baptist pastor, I too have shared, with the church, both sorrows and joys!
Dr. Barrett, your mixture of humor and personal antidotes - especially during the introduction - helped me prepare my heart, mind and spirit for this special licensing service.
Thank you for sharing. Also, may God bless your ministry and your son's teaching ministry!
Great topic!!! I am so happy that someone is speaking out against this doctrine that is destroying the churches today. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Great Sermon! Ive now listened to this 3 times and it continually rings true biblically.
I 'wish' that the Pentecostal/Charismatic/ Emerging Church; New Age, post modernist-moral relativists that are poisoning the word of God in Australia could discern what the Church is and is not.
Understanding Prosperity correctly and Biblically starts here with Mercer.
Listen to it.
Be Refreshed!
Great Sermon! I feel the same way, Steve. Having loved Dr. MacArthur Jr. and hearing of his condemnation caused me to search seek a clearer understanding
of both sides. Dr Barrett has helped greatly. I wish he would have quoted Lewis Sperry Chafer and Scofield's views.
Great study. Very good study about the dispensationalist absolute distinction between Israel and the Church, about their inconsistencies and contradictions. Good biblical arguments.
Salvation and Law. Good argumentation: those in the OT were saved as those in the NT: through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. And a very good discussion about the Law of God.
Great introduction. Very good introduction to dispendationalism, to the teaching of Darby, to this teaching which imposes a strange system to the Bible, which breakes the unity between OT and NT.
Blessed. Oh, blessed message about Paul's longing to know Christ better. How many Christians do not have this powerful longing and know only little about Him! A very searching sermon - how far we are from loving Christ as we should!
Thank-you for the important reminder!! Even though Satan will do all he can to keep me from praying...I must "pray with out ceasing" with even greater confidence!!!
