“ Churches of Christ Misnomer ”
What really makes the "Churches of Christ" dangerous is that they use a seemingly, but open-ended "Christian" name, but add works to salvation since they teach baptismal regeneration. The "Churches of Christ" should be known as the Campbellite Church since it was founded by Alexander Campbell. The damnable heresy of baptismal regeneration is an attack on Justification by Faith in Jesus Christ Alone.

“ Sound & True! ”
Dr. Sidwell has done a superb job in describing the "Churches of Christ" & their theology. Having been one who grew up for over 18 years in the "Church of Christ" & believed zealously what I was taught by the teachers & ministers of this denomination, I can testify to Dr. Sidwell's accuracy to what he teaches in this message. As Dr. Sidwell brings out very well, the "salvation" taught by the "Churches of Christ" is extremely dangerous, due to it being so unclear. Baptism is so tenaciously held to, it causes one to conclude their "salvation" is works based.

“ Not Too Unfair ”
Although he does have some ill words about these churches, he generalizes relatively well. The beauty of these churches, coming form a 'coc' attendee, is (as he mentioned) the local control and variety across the country and from city to city. That way there is no beauracracy, no politics, no pandering, and less chance of massive apostasy. I would like to correct one impression: Presbyterians are much closer related to Catholics than COCs, in many important respects (such as hierarchical church 'authority', creeds, etc.)
