From the earliest books of the Old Testament all the way to the end of the New Testament, we find this repeated command of God: “Be holy, because I am holy.” This holiness, this purity, is the hallmark of a life that demonstrates the preeminence of the Lord Jesus Christ in all things. This raises a challenging question: How can you and I, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, obey this imperative? How can we demonstrate the preeminence of the Lord Jesus Christ in all of our thinking and living? That is the question we are addressing today as we continue our study in the book of Colossians at chapter 3, verse 5. |
