“ Fine exposition ”
It is relatively easy to assent to the general statements declared here. However, difficulties arise when establishing the extent to which truth is applied to a particular, specific issue. Quickly, and very often, individuals substitute the Word of God for what it feels right ‘according to their own conscience’, preferences, likes and dislikes, or culture-conditioned opinions. Consciences defiled by such things, or by sin, stubbornness or self-will, cease to be reliable. Consequently, separation, or biblical identity, comes to a halt. Often after, matters are then excused, denied, avoided, redefinied or conveniently explained away. This is a deadly trap to the further advancement of personal or corporal sanctification, (separation). |
