We begin a new series within the sermon of the mount. Jesus is calling his disciples to take the teaching of the Law to a higher standard. They had been taught the letter of the law not the spirit. Jesus wanted his disciples to understand that the root of all murders is the present of anger, bitterness, wrath and malice. Jesus taught that in the spirit of the Law a believer that harbored anger was guilty in spirit of murder. As believers possessing Christ Holy spirit we have the tools to needed to overcome anger and murder. |
