I disagree Your statement "Inordinate desires come out of our sin nature, but their presence does not automatically mean we have committed sin” [23:30]is scripturally incorrect. The Word of God clearly states: "The thought of foolishness is sin..." Surely "inordinate desires" are sinful desires? Are you really saying that desires are neutral? The Bible teaches that sin does NOT consist merely in acted-out desires, but in the desires themselves. Christ spoke of sin as the fruit of a corrupt tree. Jeremiah said that "the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked". In the Fall of man, Eve did not only sin in taking the forbidden fruit, but in desiring that which God had forbidden. She saw that it was "a tree TO BE DESIRED to make one wise..." How can you condemn the behavior but not the desire? Disappointing...
Great Sermon! A great message brother, it is getting into the presence of God unto the very throne of grace itself. The pure delight of a single hour that before thy throne I spend when I kneel in prayer and with thee my God I commune as friend with friend. Those Israelites outside the tabernacle looking in wondered at the priest within offering up prayers to God for them, just as I wonder that Christ would offer up prayers for me. Luke 22 vs 61,62
Great Sermon! Each time I listen to this same sermon it seems to get shorter and shorter.
It needs to be memorized and preached continuously in today's climate.
To all saints - please listen and take to heart.
Great Sermon! What an awesome message - I have often been dissed for hanging out with non saved people but I just did what I saw Jesus doing ? I was shouting amen amen all through this - thank you fab message.
