On our last broadcast, we concluded the first phase of our series of programs on the preeminence of the Lord Jesus Christ in the book of Colossians.
Today and next week we're going take a break from our Colossians series, and air a two-part message titled “Tearing Off the Roof.” It's from a series of programs we aired some time ago called “Jesus the Master Evangelist.”
One of the key characteristics of a Scripture-driven church is Bible-based evangelism. We see the Biblical pattern for evangelism as we read the accounts of men and women who had personal encounters with the Lord Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry.
One such man couldn't even come to Jesus himself. He was a paralytic, and he had to be brought to Jesus by four other men. Those men would let nothing stand in their way. They literally tore off the roof of a house, in order to bring him into the presence of the Savior.
