Eternal Father strong to save, be our shield this very day. Guard us when we go in and go out, direct our steps and deliver us from all doubt. Give us this day our daily bread, for we remember all the words that you have said. You promised to be with us and never depart when we were found by Jesus and in the Christian life we made our start. The birds of the air are fed without worry or fright because You keep them by the power of Thy might. The flowers of the fields grow in all their pride and keep their glory until their life is taken and they have died. Lord, surely if you keep the birds of the air and flowers of the field, then sustain us Lord and as long as we live on earth and produce our yield.

Lord, for our sins we deserve death. In Christ Jesus help us to rest. Jesus has paid the cost; therefore we shall not be lost. Christ died for our sin, and also He died for us the race for us to win. When we show our ugly side, remove from us all of our pride. When we fail our sins to remove, our nature we pray Thou wilt subdue. When we think thoughts we ought not, may we remember with a price we were bought. When temptation comes and calls us Thy law to break, help us by the power of Thy Spirit to always be awake. When we fail and fall into shame, we have no one but ourselves to blame. By Thy mighty hand help us to stand.

Lord, we find ourselves often cast down. Sometimes, all we can do is frown. The days grow weary and dark, but we know our duty is still to sing like the lark. When the spirit is beguiled into depression, help us to find in ourselves confession. Sometimes we sin as we walk in this life, and we bring on ourselves much strife. Sometimes, we are simply called to pain, with no rhyme or reason, and we wonder if we are sane. The trials of life cast their lot with us, and it all seems very unjust. Some go through life with little to suffer it seems, and we cannot understand what it all means. All we know is that we cannot live by sight, lest every day seem like the night. All things work together for good, this must be understood. There is a purpose in all things that happens and this should bring us gladness. In heaven those who on earth suffered much, shall be find the reasons to be just. From our face You shall remove our frown, and we shall be rewarded with a crown.

Life is short and soon there will be an end to our cares, and we shall understand the struggles that drove us to our prayers. The pain that we endured in this life, in the next life will be our gain. Lord, we are Thy sheep, we pray Thee, our souls to keep.

Lord, help us the lost to seek, and may by Thy grace they become meek. The pride of man is a stumbling block. By Thy spirit may their hearts be unlocked. We fear for the stubborn who will not yield, for they know not Jesus who is our shield. May they cast their crowns before the throne, so they may not suffer eternity all alone. Jesus saves us from our fears when to him we come with tears. Only can we stand aright, when to Jesus we come as the light.

Lord God Almighty, the times are in Thy hand. Be merciful to our land. Among all peoples high has stood our nation, but slowly we are losing our station. We put the constitution through every contortion to finally approve of every abortion. We change the meaning of words to confuse the mind and soon people of all classes are essentially blind. Entitlements are now a right, when in days gone by, welfare was a slight. Sodomy was once the sin that brought brimstone on the day, and now we are told that we must call it gay. The power of the state once was bounded, but it resembles nothing like our father founded. Debt is the road to wealth, and frugality has been taken by stealth. Once there was virtue in self-control, but the sin of envy is now everywhere cajoled. We are addicted to debt, we are told from its poison we shall be kept. Print the money and pile it high and its consequences we shall deny. So they tell the people all is well when in reality our nation is going to Hell. Our Lord, when Thy people come to You in fear, calm their hearts knowing that you always hear.

As we worship, remind us that all history is in Your control and the future of our land does not depend on our patrol. In the midst of the day of a great test, in Jesus we shall find our rest. Discipline is hard at first, but it shall deliver us from the curse. When all else fails, with Jesus we shall prevail. In the course of time, our song shall be that Jesus in mine. Grant to us as we plead these blessings as we sow our seed. In Christ’s name today we pray. Amen.
